I don’t know anyone that has it or atleast not knowing of it. But wow that’s rough. I’m pretty knowledgeable on most disability-disorders as I have worked with a bunch of people who have them. Just wow I didn’t realize it affected people like that. Much respect for the people dealing and managing with FAS. I can’t imagine how frustrating as you explained people just aren’t aware. You’re not dumb you obviously can do task and handle life just some days are a big challenge. I get that’s extremely frustrating! So like how does this work I’m sure some cases are worse than others but is it in a sense the brain just “short circuits - malfunctions” I’m curious on why it’s easier some days and opposite the other. I’m not challenging that’s it’s tough I’m just not knowledgeable on FAS. This is my first time really learning about it. That’s sad and very tough thing but my utmost respect to you and the ones still pushing through it!

Sometimes groomers prey on those in care, who are deemed to be intellectually impaired. It does not only happen to children. Adults who are vulnerable can be coerced into a "love relationship"...

He's now happy . No violent aggressive behaviour . No anxieties . No worries . He will always find it difficult with many things in life . But my son is happy.

Myles! Love you, dude! You speak truth and you do it from such a good heart! The part that really touches me with this vid is the PHYSICAL aspect of FASD. That's something that I find is more 'amplified' as I get older. And don't get me wrong, I DO feel blessed that I'm getting the chance TO GET OLDER. Not all us folks on the FASD spectrum get that chance. <3 BUT... the physical effects on my body and nervous system have been very hard to deal with. I know they won't go away, so all i can do is work on handling what comes my way with some amount of Grace and Dignity. Thanks again for getting the Word out there, Myles! 🙏🏼

So, it's only if the mother drinks alcohol and not the father? In other words if the father is an alcoholic, it doesn't have a negative effect on the baby during conception?

    • @andrewgarratt5191

Exactly, the Father can drink all he wants to…. It’s the mom that’s carrying the baby that can’t…. Or rather shouldn’t drink.

Thank you for sharing your experience and educating people on this disability! It was really enlightening, especially as a person with an "invisible" disability myself (let's just say that people don't really pay that much attention..). Thank you! <3

Now at 59 I know why I'm in so much pain, my memory is not good, emotional issues, behavioural issues and social behavioural issues an learning...I hated it because of everything involved including my great lack learning.. It could very well not be fibromyalgia. With everything else, you just connected the dots.

What Then? Surely There Must Be Some Sort Of A Free Pro Bono Lawyer To Represent Clients Who Have FASD In Post Conviction Appeal For A Pre Existing Condition. By Fact. Let Me Know.🤔🤔🤔👍

Yup. I feel that. But never was as successful as you. It's what it does, and people don't help at all. I just wish people would be more aware of this issue. Why is it fair that we should consider people that have the same sex attraction. (LGBTQ) but we don't give a rats ass about FASD people that struggle more then the average person. Then people call us gay for having a high voice. No wonder we need the LGBTQ movement becouse people are too rude. I don't believe in LGBTQ movements at all so don't bother with that

Moreover the mother with hepatic compromise need special attention regarding the type of treatment and precautions strategies

If its a invisible disorder then its deserves a awareness month like autism. Like, it ought to be a must! I really wouldnt say tht i am the more 'free spirit type', but I lived in big cities, loved hanging out in the city, did the back pac thing, and met alot of individuals through out my travels. I must say, tht at times, i wasn't aware or educated, but now i do realize tht i have hung out with ppl who have this disorder . I can see soooooo much how its known as the invisible disorder.
